The 42 kilometres of road from Antalya to
Kemer go through spectacular mountain scenery. This resort
town has been designed to blend in with the scenery and
offers the perfect environment for a wonderful holiday.
There is a fully equipped marina and the unspoilt bays and
beaches south of the town are a yachtsman's dream. Shoppers
will delight at the wonderful range of high quality
souvenirs that can be bought here. There is a beach
promenade on the northern part of the marina which has steps
leading down from its cafes and shops directly to the beach.
Kemer Beach is rated Blue Flag (meaning "clean beach") by
the European Union. In the Yoruk (Nomad) Theme Park,
overlooking a lovely bay, you can watch traditional
craftsmen at work. Along the adjoining bay is a charming and
delightful spot with sports and entertainment.
Facilities discreetly hidden in pine groves. The colorful
Kemer Carnival is held in the spring. Also in the spring are
the yacht races between Kemer and Gime (in the Turkish
Republic of Northern Cyprus). Kiziltepe, Goynuk (Blue Flag)
and Beldibi (Blue Flag), north of Kemer, and Camyuva and
Tekirova (Blue Flag), to the south, are tourist centres that
provide for a variety of activities and holiday villages all
built to blend into the forest that encircles them. Of all
the beautiful places in the Kemer region these areas are the
favourites.

Phaselis Antique
City
Situated at the foot of Mt. Tahtali (Olympos), 15 km south
of Kemer, the three harbours of Phaselis were the reason for
its historical role as a commercial centre. The view of Mt.
Tahtali from the south harbour is particularly spectacular.
The sheltered, pebbled and sandy beaches around the bays are
delightful and the waters here are calm and safe for
children and young swimmers. The ruins of aqueducts, agoras,
baths, a theater, Hadrian's Gate, and an acropolis underline
the city's historical importance.

Chimarea
The Chimarea take its name from the myth of Bellerophon. The
Lycian King, Lobates, sent Bellerophon to kill the fire-breathing
monster, part lion, goat and serpent. With the aid of the
winged horse Pegasus, he succeeded, and returned, after
completing other tasks set by Lobates, to Xanthus where he
married the king's daughter and became heir of the Lycian
throne. Carried away by his success, Bellerophon tried to
ride Pegasus up to Mount Olympus; for his presumption, he
earned a great thunderbolt from Zeus.

Olympos Antique
City
This ancient city is situated on the southern side of Mt.
Tahtali. Whether coming by sea or land do not miss the
Olympos Valley shaded with oleander and laurel shrubs and
the refreshing quiet pools of flowing water. The design of
the mosaics in the Olympos bath is enhanced by the play of
light while a temple gate and a theatre are of interest
along with the other walls and towers around the bay which
date from the Middle Ages.

Olympos-Cirali
Beach
Cirali is a triangular shaped plain surrounded by mountains,
with a 3,2 km long beach limited on both ends by cliffs. The
beach with a width varying from 50m to 100m, is a mixture of
fine sand and pebbles. In the winter months, three streams
reach the sea on the Cirali shore.

Adrasan Bay
A picturesque bay at the foot of the Taurus mountains.
Mass tourism is unknown here. There are no discos, shopping
malls or tourist attractions. Instead, there is beautiful
countryside, sandy beaches, and the small local Turkish
restaurants and guest houses who look after their customers.
The area lends itself well to exploring and excursions. Very
close by are the ruins of the Greek city of Olympus, the
ancient locations Limyra and Arykanda, and the sunken city
of Kekova. A trip to the burning mountain should not be
missed. The hot outflow point of the old volcano can be
viewed from the top of the mountain. For shopping, Kemer or
Antalya are about 40 to 60 minutes car ride away.

Scuba Diving In
Kemer
One of the most popular diving areas in the region is the
Three Islands, off Tekirova, which has many diver sites and
greater depth than Antalya. The wreckage of a submerged ship
lying 2km from Kemer Yacht Harbour at a depth of 25m,
belongs to a French cargo ship which sank during World War
II. It is estimated to have been built in 1896, and has
three decks and two warehouses, of which some is still
covered in tiles

Scuba Diving In
Adrasan
Combine the crystal clear waters and fascinating marine life
below the surface with the unspoiled breathtaking natural
beauty above. Shells, amphorae, anchors, sponges and
underwater antiquities scattered all over the sea-bed along
with other ancient relics are awaiting discovery! Also, many
caves, big drop offs and lots of fish life can be seen. All
this in one of the most beautiful dive spots on the
Mediterranean.

Goynuk Canyon
The canyon in Goynuk maintains its mystery as an unknown
natural wonder for years. Some hotels and tourism agencies
arrange jeep safaries to reach the canyon, which is 5 km at
the upper side of Goynuk. Early in the mornings, accompanied
by a guide, you can go tracking in the pine woods. After an
hour walk, having a splendid panorama all the time, you will
reach the canyon. To go further you have to go in to water.
When you reach the spring of the canyon, you will be
fascinated by the view you encounter. The magnificent view,
ensued by the step 300 - 350 m high mountains, which are
worn out by waters by the time, captures big and little
waterfalls as well. The canyon, with its deep valleys,
narrows down to 6 m from time to time. It also provides
opportunities to swim in its large ponds. The mysterious
panorama of embraced mountains is approximately 6 km long.
Tracking the valley takes approximately 3 hours. The valley,
with its magnificent waterfalls, is a natural wonder
worthwhile to see, and waiting to be discovered.
