An entry port west of Olympos,
Finike is surrounded by citrus trees and gardens. A sandy
beach stretches to the east, and to the west are rocky bays
and coves.
Limyra, an ancient Lycian city, is 10 km inland from Finike
via Turuncova. The fourth century B.C. Perikles sarcophagus,
decorated with caryatids, is a magnificent example of
ancient art.The city walls and Roman theater are also of
interest.

on this road is the Lycian city of Arikanda. Set high on the
mountain overlooking one of Turkey's most beautiful valleys,
the extensive ruins include the agora, theater, stadium,
bouleuterion, water system, bath, gymnasium and scattered
sarcophagi.

Arycanda is located 32 km North of Finike. A long part of
the road up to Arykanda leads through a picturesque cedar
and pine tree forest. Water from a source 400 m away is
brought to the trout farm here. As this water has the
temperature of 9.5 degrees at any season and time it
provides ideal conditions for the farm. The ancient town”s
first settlement is believed to have taken place
approximately 2nd century B.C. But the oldest ruins existing
are from 5th century B.C. Arycanda, founded on top of hill
over looking the green valley is a very imposing ancient
site and worth discovering because of its location as well
as its ruins, mainly well preserved. The ruins of Stadium,
and Agora Stoa, Gymnasium and public bath, the water source
and the rock tombs are important places to see.
